For whatever reason, Microsoft has determined that some sites are not compliant with whatever rules they have decided on for IE8. So they do not display properly. But they did, at least, make a work-around.
If you are now using IE8, and websites used to work fine and now give you an HTTP 500 error, there are two fixes:
1)Click on Tools
2)Click on Compatibility View Settings
3) Click on Display All Websites in Compatibility View
4) Click Close
The second fix is easy:
Download Firefox by Mozilla and use that instead of Microsoft IE.
